Historical Facts The Jeroen Bosch Hospital was founded in 2002 as a result of a merger between two other hospitals in the city (Bosch Medicentrum and the Carolus Hospitals) The two hospitals were also a result of mergers, hence the situation that there are 5 different locations
The locations Carolus: on the northeast side of the city Groot Ziekengasthuis (with roots dating back to the year 1274): in the city centre Willem-Alexander: on the south side of the city: this is where the new hospital will be realized (in 2011) Liduina, Boxtel (a village about 15 km south of Den Bosch): here there are only out-patient facilities and operation rooms for short clinical interventions Bommels Gasthuis, Zaltbommel (about 20 kilometers north of Den Bosch): has only our patient facilities Nieuwkuijk, (about 12 kilometers west of Den Bosch): has only our patient facilities
