The fortress at Vechten is a part of the second ring of fortresses at the eastside of Utrecht
The fortress at Vechten Building period: From 1867 until 1870, in 1880 the soldiers barracks were added. Statistics: 17 hectares, 23 ground covered buildings (7000m2), 16 million bricks, High historical and natural values. Current owner and user: In 1996 transferred to ‘Staatsbosbeheer’. In 1998 partnership with Stichting “Werk aan de Linie”
