Translation The A an De/het Een Before consonants Een Before vowels (e,i,o,a, u) *Let op: het gaat om de uitspraak!

Also Don’t use ‘the’ after the following words: Most Next Last E.g.: “Most children like ice cream.”
Use a/an for: A profession, religion, ranks etc ‘I am a biologist.’ Exclamations ‘What a wonderful day!’
Don’t use a/an: After ‘as’ and ‘without’ ‘No fame without hard work.’
