Where We Live The Students of Room 205

We live on the continent of North America… Some landforms are the Appalachian Mountains, the Rocky Mountains, the Mississippi River, the Great Lakes, the Grand Canyon, and Mt. McKinley Some of the countries on North America are Canada, the U.S.A., Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands. North America is surrounded by the Atlantic, the Pacific, and the Arctic Oceans It is in the Northern and Western Hemispheres. The equator is to the south of North America.

We live in the country of the United States of America… The U.S.A. has 50 states. It also has the Appalachian Mountains and Rocky Mountains that are landforms. The closest oceans are the Atlantic and the Pacific. Some of the rivers in the U.S. are the Mississippi, the Ohio, the Colorado, and the Rio Grande. The capital of the United States is Washington D.C.

We live in the state of Pennsylvania… Our state borders New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, and West Virginia. Some landforms in PA are the Allegany, Delaware, Susquehanna, Schuylkill, and Ohio Rivers, and the Appalachian Mountains. Important cities in PA are Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, and Scranton. The town of Newville is south of Harrisburg. We live close to the Atlantic Ocean.

We live in the town of Newville… The important buildings in town are the Firehouse, the schools, the community center, the medical center, the pharmacy, and the post office. The main roads are Main street, Vine street, West street, High Street, and Centerville road. The landform closest to us is the Big Spring Creek. The restaurants and stores in town are Pinos, Pizza Express, the Newville Diner, Saylors, the Hardware Store, 2 Tired to Cook, and the Laundromat. Newville is in Cumberland County.
