Warm Up - Writer’s Notebook – Title: “Opener, Interrupter, Closer” Copy the following sentence patterns down: Opener (Phrase or Dep Cl), sentence. Sent, interrupter (Ph or Dep Cl), ence. Sentence closer (Ph or Dep Cl). Sentence = independent clause Opener, interrupter, closer = dependent clauses, & phrases

Sentence Pattern Examples: Before I go to work each morning, I stop at Starbucks for coffee. I stop at Starbucks, before I go to work each morning, for coffee. I stop at Starbucks for coffee before I go to work each morning.
