May is National Bike Month and May 13 through May 17 is Bike to Work Week 3 Feet – Its the Law : 3 Feet – Its the Law : Motorists must give at least 3 feet of space when passing bicyclists or electric bicycles in Nevada. Ride on the Right : Ride on the Right : Ride on the right side of the road in the same direction as traffic. Never rider against the flow of traffic. Be Visible in the Dark : Be Visible in the Dark : Law requires a white headlight visible up to 500 feet and a red rear reflector visible from at least 50 feet. Wear bright fluorescent clothing during the day and reflective clothing at night. May is National Bike Month and May 13 through May 17 is Bike to Work Week RTC buses are equipped with bike racks for 2-3 bikes. Riders are responsible for loading and unloading their bikes. As the bus approaches, have your bike ready for loading. Remove water bottles, pumps, or any item that may fall off. Inform the bus operator before putting your bike on the rack. Prior to exiting the bus, inform the bus operator that a bike will be removed from the rack. Loading your bike on the MAX and Wright vehicles requires you to bring your bike into the vehicle.
