WP8: Progress and outlook task3, network management Francis Brouns, OUNL

Network management progress Final version of Milestone 8.1 delivered: including state of the art and design documents for prototype DIP 2 and roadmap Evaluation criteria for DIP 2 specified Extended prototype by adding missing functionality Validated prototype: –Calibration of LSA engine –Technical and functional validation in mockup and lab pilots –Experiment with students to validate educational value

Network management progress ID8.11 State of the art, design and validation of first release Chapter 4 and contributions to other chapters of D8.1 Provided input to University of Sofia on requirements for new release of prototype Provided necessary input for API being developed by University of Sofia (ID 8.12) Several articles published and new articles submitted, some accepted. Presentations at several workshops and conferences.

Network management outlook University of Sofia will integrate new version of prototype into the Overview tool Prototype will be used more as network management tool; focus more on policies –Underlying model –Implementation of policies Delays because of delay in TENCompetence infrastructure
