Two Kinds of Intelligence There are two kinds of intelligence: one acquired, as a child in school memorizes facts and concepts from books and from what the teacher says, collecting information from the traditional sciences As well as from the new sciences. With such intelligence you rise in the world. You get ranked ahead or behind others in regard to your competence in retaining information. You stroll with this intelligence in and out of fields of knowledge, getting always more marks on your preserving tablets. There is another kind of tablet, one already completed and preserved inside you. A spring overflowing its springbox. A freshness in the center of the chest. This other intelligence does not turn yellow or stagnate. It’s fluid, and it doesn’t move from outside to inside through the conduits of plumbing learning. This second knowing is a fountainhead from within you, moving out. Mevlana Celaleddin Rûmi (1207 – 1273) Copyright 2008, Halil Kulluk / Intekno - All Rights Reserved

Knowing - Doing Gap Knowing “What” to do is not enough Talk should not substitute for action Fear should not prevent acting on knowledge Use plans, analyses, meetings, presentations to “inspire” deeds Turn knowledge and experience into ACTION and achieve RESULTS Stanford University Source: The Knowing - Doing Gap, Jeffrey Pfeffer and Robert Sutton Copyright 2008, Halil Kulluk / Intekno - All Rights Reserved

You have no idea how hard I have looked for a gift to bring You You have no idea how hard I have looked for a gift to bring You. Nothing seemed right. What is the point of bringing gold to a gold mine, or water to the ocean. Everything I came up with was like taking spices to the Orient. It is no good giving my heart and soul, because You already have these. So – I have brought you a mirror. Look at yourself and remember me.
