MJFA – Marysville Jr. Football Association 11/15/ Sponsorship Package 2011 Accomplishments 2012 Head Safety: New concussion prevention rated helmets – new units planned $12-$15K expenditure (Schutt DNA Recruit) Recondition existing helmets – 40 units $1K (est) 2011 Initiatives Completed: Improved Equipment Player Safety New Shoulder Pads – estimated 250 units Additional New Tackling Dummies, Blocking Shields, Balls, Flags $10K in expenditures 2012 Initiatives: Improved Equipment

MJFA – Marysville Jr. Football Association 11/15/ Sponsorship Package Key Changes 2012 MJFA has changed the League Structure from an AGE based system to a school GRADE based system. As part of this structure change, MJFA eliminated the Instructional Division and implemented a Competitive Flag Division. These decisions by the Board of Directors came after much research and deliberation regarding both the overall safety and competitive effectiveness of the programs offered. The following is both the Old & New League Structures for your comparative reference.

MJFA – Marysville Jr. Football Association 11/15/ Sponsorship Package Old Structure Vs. New Structure 2011 League Structure - Flag Division – 4, 5 & 6 year olds. (Predominately Pre-K, K & 1 st Graders) - Instructional Division – 7 & 8 year olds. (Predominately 2 nd & 3 rd Graders) - Division I – 9 & 10 year olds. (Predominately 4 th & 5 th Graders) - Division II – 11 & 12 year olds. (Predominately just 6 th Graders) - Division III – 12, 13 & 14 year olds who are 1) enrolled in their respective 7 th & 8 th grade school; 2) not on the roster of their 7 th & 8 th grade school teams. (Div. III was created last year in response to the first time the middle school had cuts for their football program.) *All divisions, except Div. II and III, have a 50% play rule League Structure 2012 League Structure - Flag Division – Pre-K & K. (Predominately 4 & 5 year olds) - Competitive Flag Division – 1 st & 2 nd Graders. (Predominately 6 & 7 year olds)* *3rd Graders who do not wish to play tackle may sign up for Competitive Flag - Division I – 3 rd & 4 th Graders. (Predominately 8 & 9 year olds) - Division II – 5 th & 6 th Graders. (Predominately 10 & 11 year olds) - Division III – (Not yet implemented as this division is a case-by-case/year-to-year decision.) *All divisions, except Div. II & III, have a 50% play rule. (Div. II and III now has a 25% play rule.) 2012 League Structure

MJFA – Marysville Jr. Football Association 11/15/ Sponsorship Package 2012 Season – League Policies Education Requirements: Each Players Grades are monitored by each individual coach per the League Grade Policy** Each player must maintain a C average to maintain eligibility to practice and to play If a Player is struggling, academic support will be provided as required Behavior Requirements Each Player and Parent must complete a Code Of Conduct acknowledgement form prior to participation** League Policy for Education & Behavior: The MJFA is committed to education and proper behavior of Players on and off of the field. Note: ** Parent must consent to this policy prior to enforcement & any special circumstances are considered

MJFA – Marysville Jr. Football Association 11/15/ Sponsorship Package 2012 Season – League Policies Key Policies: 50% Playing / Participation time is required by the league for all qualifying participants in Divisions I and younger** 25% Playing/ Participation time is required by the league for all qualifying participants in Division II and III** All Participants will be given the direction and instruction by their coaching staff to perform at their level of ability * Monitored by the Football Directors and Division Commissioners League Policy for Education & Behavior: The MJFA is committed to the development of every participant. Note: ** Assumes all other requirements are met for Grades and Behavior
