HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE PASSIVE HOUSE STANDARD

What is a passive house standard? What is a passive house standard? The passive house standard is a new concept of house building based on energy efficiency. High level of thermal comfort. High level of thermal comfort. Even temperature in all the building. Even temperature in all the building. Eliminates the requirement of conventional space heating or cooling systems. Eliminates the requirement of conventional space heating or cooling systems.

Who developed the concept of a passive house? The concept of a passive house was first developed by professor Wolfgang Feist. He was born in 1954 He studied Physics at the University of Tubingen He built the first ever certified passive house in 1991

Where and when was this concept first developed? The first passive house was built in Darmstadt, near Frankfurt in Germany. The first passive house was built in Darmstadt, near Frankfurt in Germany.

The passive house is very popular in… Germany Sweden Holland Austria

In the last few years the concept of passive house has spread as far as the USA, Ireland, the UK, China and even the Southern hemisphere. In the last few years the concept of passive house has spread as far as the USA, Ireland, the UK, China and even the Southern hemisphere.
