Soft Reset – Cancel & Pause Simultaneously E-CLASS: Button Functions Cancel – Feed - Pause Soft Reset – Cancel & Pause Simultaneously Level 1 Reset – Pause & Cancel During Power up (Resets to a saved cfg file) Level 2 Reset – Pause, Feed & Cancel During Power up (Factory Defaults).
E-CLASS: Button Functions Internal Database Hold down the Pause Key while powering up the printer. Continue holding the Pause Key until the Pause light goes off – then release Pause. Press the Pause Key one time to print a Database Configuration Label.
E-CLASS: Button Functions Internal Database Locate the Item Number associated with the Menu Item to be modified. Hold the Feed Key while counting the flashes of the Pause light . When the Pause flashes = the Item Number, release the Feed button. Example: ( Default for Item # 2 - Gap = Sensor Type) ( You want to change from Gap to Refl = Sensor Type) Hold down the Feed Key and count 2 Flashes, and release. Use Pause & Cancel to scroll through selections in this menu. Press the Pause & Cancel Key Simultaneously and Hold for 1 Second. Repeat Step 4 to Hold New Settings and Exit Menu Mode. Auto Media Sensor Calibration E-CLASS: Calibration Auto Media Sensor Calibration With the desired media loaded, hold the Cancel button while powering up the printer. Continue to hold the button until the Pause light turns off & then release it. Next, press the Pause button. The printer will feed approximately ten inches of media to calculate the TOF Delta and Low values to be used. Upon completion, one of the following lights will flash five times to denote the result of the auto calibration attempt: Stop light = Successful calibration. Error light = Unsuccessful calibration.
E-CLASS: Calibration Auto Media Sensor Calibration Press Pause & Cancel buttons simultaneously and release to accept changes. Wait until the light goes off. Press Pause & Cancel buttons simultaneously again to Save changes and enter into Normal printing mode. Wait until the light goes off.
Manual Media Sensor Calibration E-CLASS: Manual Media Sensor Calibration With the desired media loaded, hold the Cancel button while powering up the printer. Continue to hold the button until the Pause light turns off - then release it. Next, press and hold the Feed button. Continue to hold the button until the Pause light turns on - then release the button. 1. Place the media with the backing attached (if any) in the media sensor, close the Printhead Carrier Assembly, and then press the Pause button. The printer will flash the Error light as it analyzes the material. 2. Position the backing material or the black (reflective) mark in the media sensor, close the Printhead Carrier Assembly, and then press the Feed button. The printer will flash the Error light as it analyzes the top of form mark. 3. Remove all the material from the media sensor, close the Printhead Carrier Assembly, and then press the Cancel button. The printer will flash the Error light as it analyzes the no media condition. Calibration
