Create an Education Journey Poster Create an Education Journey Poster! Instructions An Education Journey Poster (11” x 8-1/2”) can be a great tool to use in your conversations with students or a great addition to your College Corner. You can create your own Education Journey Poster. Steps to creating your own Education Journey Poster: YOUR NAME AND COLLEGES YOU ATTENDED: In the top left-hand corner type in your name, major and the colleges you attended. (If you click on the “insert” key on your keyboard, you can switch from insert to “type-over” so you can keep the sizing of the text. COLLEGE LOGOS OR MASCOTS: On page 3 of this document you will find a set of many of the logos or mascots from the UC system, the CSU system, and local community colleges. Click on your school’s logo and “copy” it. Then “paste” it on the top banner of the PowerPoint. By pulling on the corner, you should be able to size the logo for the document. You should also be able to move it to give it good placement. If you don’t see your college logo or mascot, there is a separate file with many more posted in the “Lesson Plans and Resources” sections of the website. And if you can’t find it there, you should be able to copy it from your college’s website. YOUR PHOTO: Insert your photo into the text box on the left side of the PowerPoint Template. (The easiest way to do this is to click on the “photo” icon and then click on the photo you want to insert into the poster.) ED JOURNEY INFO: Using the “type over” function on your keyboard, type in your responses to each of the questions about your college experience. SAVE and PRINT OUT YOUR ED JOURNEY POSTER. Share your Ed Journey poster with your students and hang it in your College Corner or on your bulletin board.
