ODYSSEY PRODUCTIONS, INC. Membership Drive

Introduction The purpose of this presentation is to inform the public of Odyssey Productions fundraising drive that supports our “Feed The Hungry, Adopt-A-Family, Youth Group Programs, and Community Awards Banquet.” ODYSSEY PRODUCTIONS, INC. was created to establish a positive base for individuals in need of food, jobs, advice, youth programs or just a support group. In a short period of time since we began our company back in 1993, with the support of our community, we have had an opportunity to make a significant difference in our community. Odyssey Productions, Inc. is a 501 ( c ) (3) nonprofit organization recognized by the I.R.S., and all donations to Odyssey Productions, Inc. are tax-deductible in accordance with I.R.S. regulations.

Feed the Hungry Program Odyssey Production’s annual “Feed the Hungry” Program is held each year with partnership and support from the Salvation Army in Marietta, Ga. With well over 100 volunteers each year that helps to feed over 800 people yearly this program is one of the largest within the Atlanta metro area. This program is held during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. This program is also represented and advertised within the United Way 211 system that sends needy families to our location for assistance.

Adopt-a-family Program This particular program is less than 3 years old, but was started in an effort to assist area families in need. Most of the families that we help are single parent homes that had been turned down for assistance from other agencies. This program is assisted also with the help and support of the United Way Atlanta 211 Program. This program gives families that are doing well the opportunity to reach out and give back to other families in need of help during the Christmas holiday season. Each year this program signs up over 30 families in need of help so the opportunities to lend a hand either by adopting or by volunteering your time is very helpful.

Youth Group Programs Odyssey Productions, Inc. youth group program offers the opportunity for youths to excel in computer programming, self esteem, working with others thru group outings, community service and after school programs. Our youth groups meet every other Saturday morning 11am- 2pm at the Odyssey office. The age groups for the Odyssey youths are 6yrs old to 16yrs old with groups broken up by ages 6-9 (Sparrows), (Hawks), and (Eagles).

Community Awards Banquet Program Odyssey Production’s Community Awards Banquet recognizes individuals and businesses that excels within their area of expertise for that previous year. This event has been well attended by over 400 people each year. The goal of the awards banquet is to make sure that individuals and businesses that do a great job are recognized for what they do. The nominees are voted on by their peers with the winners being announced the night of the banquet. This event is held annually in the month of April or May.

Real Life Odyssey Productions acknowledges the reality of individuals and families in need of help, and so these programs have been established by Odyssey Productions to provided that needed assistance. We understand that for most individuals lack of time and resources limits us in making significant changes in our communities, but we also realize the power that comes from pooling our time and resources to make those significant changes.

What This Means Odyssey Productions, Inc. needs a small portion of your time and or resources to make these positive changes in our communities. As we hopefully have peaked your interest and touched your heart by sharing with you some of the programs of Odyssey Productions, we also hopefully welcome you into our organization. We ask that you come in with a positive mind, and with a determination to do your part to make our communities, our youth, and our company the best that we can be. Lets all work together to create a better world, a better environment, for a better tomorrow. For we will honor and remember the Odyssey Productions motto: “If it is to be; It is up to me!”
