The English Weekend 105 – another highlight in our family life July 2014 in a place we know well - the HBS Spiegelsberge Tagungshotel The topic was USA and celebrating Independence Day And there was another jubilee in the English Weekend history You know, just 20 years ago Lothar started the EW show Five English Weekends every year, that must be really hard work, my dear. But we know that he’s a powerful man supported by his wife, now and then. This time we learnt a lot, you see, about USA culture and history We met famous Americans, actors and writers, politicians, singers, the Amish and fighters. And we learnt that in former times, the nation was a community, open to immigration. And on Saturday evening we could spend the great Richard-Martin-Storytelling event. With musical framing by musicians with recorders, however, they occasionally tested their borders. Not to forget, we could realize, Lothar cheered us up with the Further Education Prize So in spite of thunderstorm, football and heat, we were happy again that we could meet. And our five teachers, you didn’t get in a state, you were so patient and busy, creative, just great. So this was English Weekend 105, so please register soon for September in Wanzlife.
