Introducing William Wordsworth Greatest English poet that lead the Romantic movement. Used nature in his poems. Helped in changing the perspectives of readers towards society. His work is still read today. Was it the nature around William that helped in writing the poems or was it the French Revolution that influenced him?

Authors Information Born in April 1770 at Cockermouth. The second child to John and Ann Wordsworth His father was a lawyer under the lord. He grew up in a bad childhood. William was an orphan at age fourteen. Got separated from his siblings.

Educational Background William went to Hawkshead Grammar School It was mostly reading and playing October 1787, he went to St. John’s College in Cambridge. A big transformation from the village life he used to live in. January 1791, he took his degree and left.

Career life Travelled to France first thing after graduation. The French revolution encouraged him to write several poems about human life. Worked with Samuel Taylor Coleridge on the Lyrical Ballads and published it. Introduced Romanticism to England Worked as a stamp distributor also for financial security.

Personal Life Lived with his sister his whole life. Had a daughter from Annette Vallon, a French Women. Married Mary Hutchinson and had five children. Awarded with the Doctor of Civil Law Degree by Durham and Oxford universities. The English Government gave him the Civil List Pension. He was named poet Laureate.

Mid-Years Three out of five children passed away. He stopped writing poetry as a result of deep depression. The Civil List Pension he got was during this time which helped him financially. Caught a disease called pleurisy Died in April 1850.

Conclusion William’s work influenced by nature of earth and humans. Influenced by French Revolution. His work was beautiful and easy to understand. Recommend is work to be supported by people. It may solve problems of today.
