Study Technique - Learning Study Effectiveness Learning Style and Learning Behaviour Drive/Motivation

Know Your Learning Style u (1) Not everybody learns from the same way. u Most people actually have a preferred learning style.

Your Learning Style u Find out which of the three learning styles suits you best: w Auditory – listening w Visual – seeing and writing w Kinesthetic – motor skills - action u Your best learning style will help you with increased data retention and Study.

Your Learning Style  (2) Your learning style has implications for how you study and  Also how you manage your learning at school and at home

Auditory - (3) Learn by Listening u Learn from verbal instructions u Talk while you write u Remember names but forget faces u Distracted by noise u Remember by listening, especially with music u Games and pictures are annoying and distracting

(4) Auditory Learner u Learn from tapes/digital recorder u Listen and take notes u Review notes frequently u Sit in the classroom where you can hear well u Read, summarise and recite it aloud

Managing Test Anxiety  (14) Any time you face a challenge in life you are likely to be faced with similar anxious feelings.  If you are too anxious about taking a test it can affect your preparation and your ability to answer questions properly.
