In the Beginning The Creation Story
In the beginning the world was empty. Darkness covered everything. But God had a plan.
God separated the light from the darkness. God said," Let there be light!” and the light appeared.
God called the light ‘day’… …and the called the darkness ‘night’. This was the end of the very first day.
Then God divided the waters. He called the space between them ‘sky’. He separated the waters in the clouds above from the waters in the ocean below. Then God divided the waters. He called the space between them ‘sky’. This was the end of the second day.
Next, God rolled back the water to make dry land.
God made hills and mountains and plants of many shapes and colours. And this was the end of the third day.
God put a shining sun in the sky for the day time… …and the moon and stars for the night time. This was the end the end of the fourth day.
On the fifth day God made all the different creatures that live in the oceans and rivers…
…and birds to fly across the sky.
On the sixth day God made animals to creep, crawl, slither and gallop. And then God did something really special!
From the dust left over God made the most wonderful creature of all. God made a person and called him Adam.
The next day was the seventh day. It was now that God rested.
