 I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University is the oldest leading medical university in Russia that has become a cradle of most medical schools and scientific societies of our country. For decades it has been unofficially known as “First Med”.

 It is based in 1758 as Medical faculty of Imperial Moscow university (nowadays by the Moscow State University). In 1930 became independent educational institution — the First Moscow medical institute (1 MMI). After rewarding with Lenin's Award in 1940 the medical institute (the 1st MOLMI) is renamed into the First Moscow Lenin's Awards. In 1990 it was reorganized into the Moscow Medical Academy (MMA). Since 2010 after the next reorganization carries the present name.

 University is rich with knowledge and experience that is generously transferred to students, to those whose mission will be to face the challenges of the 21st century in the field of medicine and people aiding, to implement new methods and technologies in healthcare.

 There are 69 buildings for studies, 19 teaching hospitals with over 3,000 beds, 7 university research institutes and bases of 5 research centers of the RAMS, more than 30 laboratories, the biggest medical library in Europe, own botanic garden, and many other facilities that provide a world-level finest environment for academic excellence combined with spectacular results in research and innovation, as well as high quality medical treatment.

 Within the last 5 years students, interns and graduate students of University passed educational and scientific training in lead educational and scientific institutions of Australia, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Canada, Israel, Norway, France, the Netherlands, the USA, Switzerland, Portugal, Serbia and Montenegro.

I want to study at this university because it’s a prestigious one and there is an opportunity to get a job in other country.
