CRSI will hold meetings in Jammu (September, 2011), Puducherry (December, 2011). The New Year is being celebrated as the IYC-2011 in line with the resolution adopted by the 63rd General Assembly of the United Nations in December The UNESCO and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) are also organizing the year-long events on this occasion. Abstract Submission Abstract for Poster (one from each research group) will be considered for presentation. One page abstract should be created using MS word (Times New Roman 10 pt, normal font, single space). Use A4 size with margins- top/bottom: 1 inch; left/right: 1.25 inches. References should be cited in parentheses [ ] in the text. References should be typed in 9 point, normal font and single space. The entire abstract including text, figures, equations, structures, schemes and reverences must be sent as a [authorname.doc] title. The printed areas should be 5.8 inches (width) x 9.7 inches (length), vertically oriented. The poster number is mounted by the organizers on top of the board. The author’s name and address and the title of the paper are to be indicated on the top section of the Poster. Material for attaching the posters and illustrations (double sided tapes) will be supplied by the organizers. Writing or painting on the poster board is not allowed. Symposium Venue The Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) Zonal meeting will be held at the University of North Bengal (NBU), Siliguri during July 22 (afternoon) to July 24 (forenoon), The venue of the symposium, NBU, is situated towards the south of the city (Siliguri) and located at the foothills of majestic Himalayas. The campus has scenic surroundings with hills and spread over 335 acres of land. Siligrui can be accessed by road, rail and air from any part of the country. Major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is 15 km away from the NBU Campus and well connected to major cities in India. The Bagdogra airport is just 5 km from NBU towards south and connected to Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata.
