Regional government

The council of Tampere Region – Regional developer Finland is divided into the 20 counties Functions – Finland´s Regional Councils are statutory joint municipal authorities operating according to the principles of local self-government. – The Councils operate as regional development and regional planning authorities. – It also controls advantage of federation, represents it and makes contracts on behalf of those.

Regional State Administrative Agencies Provinces were abolished 2010 and replaced by Regional State Administrative Agencies Tasks – Base public services, legal rights and permits – Occupational safety and health – Environmental permits – Fire and rescue services and preparedness – Police.
