Portland & Western RR Derailment Derailment involving tank cars of ethanol. Fire consumed most of 22,000 gallons released, but some firefighting runoff entered adjacent wetland with ESA species. Issues: Ethanol itself is neither an oil or a haz sub. However, denatured with up to 5% gasoline. No indication of product or sheen in wetland – FOSC demobilized and OR DEQ oversaw remaining cleanup.
