 Working in a group dynamic to complete a short film project  Engaging in a creative process from the initial idea to finished production  Understanding of fundamental camera operations  Appreciation of shot styles, shot selection and shooting techniques

 Engaging in the creation of a narrative and in the storytelling process  Introduction to editing on Final Cut Pro software  Organisation of resources as part of the production process

 No food or drink in the labs  No Internet surfing. Internet usage is monitored by college at all times  No mobile phones in class  All students must continue work with their group outside of class time

 Pre-Production  Weeks 1-2  Production  Week 3 -4  Post-Production  Week 4-5 Brainstorming Storyboarding Shot List Location Shooting Shot Logging Logging and Capturing Editing Exporting

 Brainstorming ideas  Developing your idea  Storyboards  Shot Lists

 Managing equipment and location  Camera operation  Shooting techniques and shot styles  Continuity and adhering to initial shot list and storyboards

 Workshops based on theoretical and practical classes in six 90 minute sessions  Students will engage within the creative process to develop weekly folder  Students will work in a team to create a short film as described in the brief
