 When pure, Titanium is a shiny, white metal  It has a low density, great strength, and has excellent corrosion resistance  Is ductile when free of oxygen

 Titanium’s atomic number is 22  It’s atomic symbol is Ti  Atomic mass is 46 to 50  It’s atomic weight is 46.5  Has 22 protons and electrons  Number of neutrons varies between 24 and 28

 Titanium is in group and period 4 of the periodic table  It’s in the d-block  Electron configuration is 3d2 4s2

 Titanium can be used to make rings, jet engines, and watches  It’s also used to make armor plating, naval ships, and spacecraft

It is also used in Tennis rackets and bicycle components It’s often rigged in the heating exchangers of desalinization plants

 Can be found in the sun, meteorites, and Earth’s crust

 It’s the only element that burns in nitrogen

 Late model Corvettes are available with Titanium exhausts
