PT Quest Competition 2012 Mission: To identify young talents and nurture the same
The four essential skills to succeed Communications Creative thinking Critical reasoning Collaborative adaptability (Team working) The PT Quest Competition is about testing the children age group 8-15 on these skills in three stages. First stage will be held in August Second stage will be held in December 2912 and third stage will be held in March/ OR April 2913
To achieve uniformity the children are classified in four groups: CATEGORY I Students from Age8-9 in 2012 (birth date between 31st December 2004 and 30th December 2002) CATEGORY II Students from Age10-11 in 2012 (birth date between 31st December 2002 and 30th December 2000) CATEGORY III Students from Age in 2012 (birth date between 31st December 2004 and 30th December 1998) CATEGORY IV Students from Age14-15 in 2012 (birth date between 31st December 1998 and 30th December 1996)
All who register for the competition through school, a local recognized support center or on line can participate in the Basic round. It is mandatory to provide documentary proof of age, and class studying in before the participation. Formats of these are available on our web site. Those who pass minimum qualification criteria at stage one, are eligible to appear for the second stage. All those who pass minimum criteria for second stage are eligible for the third stage.
Every participant of the "PT sponsored Quest 2012" competition will receive downloadable preparatory booklet "Your Help Guide" for respective levels once they register for the competition. Support workshops are available at various places run by qualified trainers in Indian cities where children enjoy learning in fun environment. Testimonials indicate that the support workshops successfully integrate school syllabus with the fun activities to enable the children to improve their academic performance. If we have enough entries for support workshops, the same may be conducted in the school premises. We will organize trainers accordingly. The sample question will be something like this: “The following section contains questions around the HUMAN BODY. Please read each question carefully and mark your answer on the answer sheet. For TRUE or FALSE question mark you answer sheet with “a” for TRUE and “b” for FALSE.” (Instructions can be different from this too). The answers will be evaluated on the computer with the help of a software. (OMR answer sheets will be used). So please read the given instructions carefully before answering and strictly follow what you are asked to do,
In each category there will be 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd prize. In addition there will be 3 consolation prizes in each category. First prize is of INR 50,000 (INR fifty thousand only) Second prize is of INR 35,000 (INR thirty five thousand only) Third prize is of INR 20,000 (INR twenty thousand only) Each consolation prize will be of INR 5,000 (INR five thousand only)
