Why I Chose 10 I chose 10 because: My brother is 10 years older than me. My mom’s birthday is on the 10 th. I was 10 when I moved here.

Some mathematical facts about my number 10 is an even number. 10 is a composite number. The first five multiples of 10 are 10, 20, 30, 40, and is a factor of has 2 factor pairs (1,10 and 2,5). 10 is divisible by 1, 2, 5, and has three proper factors. 1, 2, and is a deficient number as its proper factors add up to less than itself. The prime factorization of my number is 2 x 5.

Some connections between 10 and our world There are 10 commandments and they are a list of religious orders that were given to Moses by God. There are 10 days of Repentance which are the first 10 days of the Jewish month, Tishrei. There were 10 Martyrs who were a religious group of people. They were murdered by the Romans. 10 Downing Street is the address of the British PM. The Number 10 is the name of a luxury hotel in Scotland. The decimal system is based of the number 10.

Is my special number a good first move in either the factor game or the product game? 10 is not a good first move in either game. In the factor game, 10 will give your opponent 8 points and you would get 10. That is not good as you would not have gained much of a lead. In the product game, 10 is not in the middle of the game board so it would be harder to win if you got it.

A short quiz about 10 How many proper factors does 10 have? What are they? Is 10 a deficient, abundant, perfect, or near-perfect number? What are the first five multiples of 10? What is the prime factorization of 10? List three relationships between 10 and our world. Is 10 a good first-move in either the factor game or the product game? Why?
