MISSION POSSIBLE JN. 8:12-30

1.Our mission is to be the continuous reflection of Christ as the light of the world. “ You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14, ESV)

“for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8, ESV) “For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5, ESV)

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9, ESV)

2. We do our mission by presenting Christ Jesus only.

We present Him as: -As the Truth, v14. -As Deity, - “Lifted up” for our sins

3. As we do mission we will face opposition from: -The self-righteous, 13 -The self-absorbed, 15 -Those who mock and ridicule, 19,22 -Those who refuse to understand,

4. The motivation for our mission is people for the glory of the Father, 30.
