The Loggerhead Sea Turtle is the South Carolina State Reptile.

Basic Facts Sea Turtles: are streamlined have flippers to propel them grow larger than most land turtles Sea Turtles Eat: crab whelks sponges marine plants jellies, shrimp sea urchins fish Almost anything!

The top of the loggerheads shell is called the carapace while the bottom is called the plastron.
