The assessments begin in Spring All items are multiple-choice. The benchmarks are grouped together by similar content. All groups are annually assessed. The Test Item Specifications are available on DOE’s website (see end of presentation for link).

Easy More than 70 percent of the students are likely to respond correctly. Average Between 40 percent and 70 percent of the students are likely to respond correctly. Challenging Less than 40 percent of the students are likely to respond correctly.
