 The assessments begin in Spring  All items are multiple-choice.  The benchmarks are grouped together by similar content. All groups are annually assessed.  The Test Item Specifications are available on DOE’s website (see end of presentation for link).

 Comprehensive assessment based on benchmarks from grades 3 – 5  Test length: 60 – 66 questions (including field- test items*)  Administration time and achievement levels have not yet been determined. * Field-test items do not count toward student scores.

Easy More than 70 percent of the students are likely to respond correctly. Average Between 40 percent and 70 percent of the students are likely to respond correctly. Challenging Less than 40 percent of the students are likely to respond correctly.
