AN may send EnableFwdControlTransmission = 0 to inform AT to stop transmission of DSC/DRC and/or SSI/SRI when it has no forward link data for the AT. AN may send EnableFwdControlTransmission = 1 to AT if AN has forward link data for the AT. All rights reserved. 3 Access Terminal AN Controlled Adaptive FL Control Transmission If AT receives EnableFwdControlTransmission = 0 from AN, it should stop transmitting the FL control channels (DRC/DSC/SSI/SRI/ACK). AT may stop monitoring DRCLock. If AT receives EnableFwdControlTransmission = 1 from AN, it should start transmitting the FL control channels (DRC/DSC/SSI/SRI/ACK). If AT has RL data to send, it shall start transmitting the FL control channels (DRC/DSC/SSI/SRI/ACK) if they have stopped, in addition to transmit data over the reverse traffic link. If AT is going to handoff to other AN, it shall start transmitting DRC/DSC. AT Controlled FL control channel transmission When AT enters the Fixed DRC state, it may stop transmitting DRC/DSC.
