From the Parents Association for Youth Sports code of ethics: I will support coaches and officials working with my child. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect. I will remember that the game is for youth - not adults.

STANDARDS FOR ADULTS The National H.S. Athletic Coaches Association Parent code of conduct: Be a positive role model. Be a team fan, not a "my kid" fan. Weigh what your children say. Show respect for the opposing team. Be respectful of all officials' decisions. Don't instruct your children before or after a game. Praise student-athletes. Gain an understanding and appreciation for the rules of the contest. Show appreciation for an outstanding play by either team. Teach that success is based on skill, and not on a win or loss. If you have a concern talk with coaches in an appropriate manner. Follow the designated chain of command. Remember that a ticket to a school event is a privilege.
