HYGENE SEMEN COLLECTION KIT

HYGENE SEMEN COLLECTION KIT No more "Here's a cup, there's the bathroom"! At last!...a non-spermicidal design collection system for semen analysis and/or insemination purposes! This simple kit offers a sensitive and comfortable method for the patient to collect a specimen and transport it for laboratory analysis. Studies show that semen samples obtained through intercourse are more viable than those obtained through masturbation.1,2 Improved specimen viability and increased patient acceptance when masturbation is objectionable, are the benefits that medical professionals have been waiting for.3

HYGENE SEMEN COLLECTION KIT This sterile system consists of two key components: A comfortable, sensitive, non-spermicidal, polyurethane condom, and a hygienically acceptable vial for transporting the specimen to the laboratory.

HYGENE SEMEN COLLECTION KIT First Advantage Second Advantage The Hygene Kit’s first advantage is that the patient may collect his specimen more conveniently at home during intercourse. Not only does this eliminate stress caused by any objections to masturbation, it yields samples of superior viability. The condom is made of ultra-thin, non-spermicidal polyurethane- providing for user comfort while maintaining a biologically inert environment. The Hygene Kit’s second advantage offers substantial benefits to laboratory personnel. The handling of the condom is done only by the patient. A small scissor slice is made at the reservoir end of the condom. The patient then empties the contents through the system’s funnel into the transport vial. The vial is sealed with a tight-fitting cap, and the funnel and condom are discarded. The patient applies the provided ID label and delivers the vial to the laboratory, preferably within an hour, keeping the sample at near body temperature during transport.

HYGENE SEMEN COLLECTION KIT Advantages of the Hygene Kit Non-Spermicidal.  Biologically inert polyurethane condom maintains sperm viability, motility and velocity.  No mold  releases or powders used in condom manufacture.  Psychologically Acceptable.  Allows sample collection at home or other private settings and eliminates patient stress traditionally caused by religious, cultural or emotional objections to masturbation or coitus interruptus. Comfortable and Gentle.  Ultra-thin polyurethane facilitates sensitivity, satisfaction and high sexual stimulation. Easy to Use.  Patient simply cleans genitals prior to use, removes condom when erection has ceased after ejaculation,  and closes condom with a provided twist-tie. Easy to Transport.  Patient seals condom in compact pouch with patient I.D. label, and transports to physician or laboratory, carrying it close to body to maintain specimen temperature. Sterile.  Individually sealed and packaged. Less Costly.  The Male-Factor Pak™ is priced lower than its leading competition. Also, special instructions given to patients on how to produce the specimen, as well as, instructions on how semen is to be harvested from the MFP for laboratory assessment and processing exist and can be made available upon request from ZDL.
