© Crown copyright Met Office What is EUMETNET? EUMETNET is a network grouping 24 National Met. Services. Provides a framework to organise co- operative programmes. Members aim to develop their collective capabilities to serve environment management & climate monitoring. Bring to all European users the best available quality of meteorological information. Make more efficient the management of their collective resources

© Crown copyright Met Office Aims of WINPROF? Operation of a network hub. Expansion of hub (wind profilers and weather radars). Maintain technical expertise. Evaluate new developments (hardware and software). Maintain the data exchange standards (BUFR). Liaise with other Programmes EUCOS, COST & WMO To liaise with EUMETFREQ on the protection of frequencies for wind profiler radars operating near 1.29 GHz (GALILEO issue). To integrate operational wind profilers into EUCOS.
