Presentation transcript:

Contributions to GSICS-EP-13 for discussion (2_js): Agenda item 5: Managing GSICS (1) 1.Executive Panel: Number of meetings: maximum two per year, an extended one (only 1.5 – 2 days), a short one back-to- back to CGMS, PLUS regular web-meetings (every 2 months) EP meetings should focus on executive/management; no need to address detailed work of WGs; instead regular reports from WGs by the Chairs highlighting progress, issues, problems, etc.

Contributions to GSICS-EP-13 for discussion (3_js): Agenda item 5: Managing GSICS (2) 1.Participation in GSICS EP: A priori only members of GSICS should have representatives in the EP Relevant activities (e.g. SCOPE-CM, ISCCP,...) should either get ad hoc invitations as required or should be observers Membership to be confined to... ? (e.g. space agencies operating relevant satellite systems)

Contributions to GSICS-EP-13 for discussion (4_js): Agenda item 7: AOB Status of re-writing of GSICS Implementation Plan? Agree to hold regular web meetings! How do we keep track of chairing of WGs and who seeks/prompts candidates? Do we need a process? A clear responsibilty?
