AVENGERS Single Wing Offense Coach Keith James Gilbert Pop Warner Gilbert, Arizona

2007 West Coast Conclave Avengers “T-Series” Single Wing Intro: Coaching Background. “If necessity is the mother of invention…” Some Interesting Statistics 1998 - 1999 – 2000 – 2001. 1998 – First Season as Head Coach… Team Record 2-8 1999 – Team Record… 1-9 2000 – Team Record… 1-6-3 (Scored 56 pts all year) 2001 – Installed the T-Series Single Wing: Team Record… 8-3 Scored 211 points Went to play-offs (suffered first round loss in TOUGH game) Thanks to Bruce. This will be my 18th year as a Pop Warner coach. It is my 9th at the helm. "If necessity is the mother of invention, then desperation is the father." In 2001 I began running the single wing offense. It remains the single smartest move I've made in my years as a head coach. It's exciting, deceptive and powerful. Every player is involved. And for youth football, that's a BIG plus. Interesting stat

2007 West Coast Conclave Avengers “T-Series” Single Wing Personal Philosophy: “… I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself as a coach. I expect my assistants to do the same. Play an active roll in the shape of the team… We are here to make these kids better ball players than they were at the start of the season. It is MY program. But it is OUR season. I gladly welcome and strongly encourage constructive input and recommendations. I would only ask that you respect and support my final decision on an issue whether you agree with it or not…” Thanks to Bruce. This will be my 18th year as a Pop Warner coach. It is my 9th at the helm. "If necessity is the mother of invention, then desperation is the father." In 2001 I began running the single wing offense. 2007 West Coast Conclave Avengers “T-Series” Single Wing Avengers Football Philosophy: Each season, my staff and I try to produce well-rounded players. We do our best to put our players in a position to be successful. Avengers Football is hard hitting, and aggressive on both sides of the ball. My players don't do things in a game just because we "tell" them to. They understand WHY they are supposed to them. I don't want robots. We want them to think on their feet in during the game. They can't achieve that without proper preparation. Thanks to Bruce. This will be my 18th year as a Pop Warner coach. It is my 9th at the helm. "If necessity is the mother of invention, then desperation is the father." In 2001 I began running the single wing offense. It remains the single smartest move I've made in my years as a head coach.
