AHS Graduation Requirements Continued Credit Requirements Credit Requirements –240 credits is the minimum and these are composed of required subjects and elective subjects. Once you have met the minimum subject requirements additional classes will count as electives. –At the end of your Sophomore year you will need a minimum of 120 credits to be on track. –A student must be enrolled in 6 classes (60 credits) per year. California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) –These tests were taken in 10 th grade and students must pass both the English and Math portions. –If a student does not pass either or both of the test sections they will have additional opportunities to pass. –Once a student has passed one or both of the test sections they will not have to take it again.
