What is Advanced Placement (AP) ? Core40 With Academic Honors Diploma – AP/Dual Credit Component Class of 2016 & Beyond Complete one of the following: Earn 4 credits in 2 or more AP courses and take corresponding AP exams Earn 6 verifiable transcripted college credits in dual credit courses from priority course list Earn two of the following: - A minimum of 3 verifiable transcripted college credits from the priority course list - 2 credits in AP courses and corresponding AP exams Earn a combined score of 1750 or higher on the SAT critical reading, mathematics and writing sections and a minimum score of 530 on each Earn an ACT composite score of 26 or higher and complete written section Classes of 2014-2015 Complete one of the following: Complete AP courses (4 credits) and corresponding AP exams Earn a combined score of 1200 or higher on the SAT critical reading and mathematics Score a 26 or higher composite on the ACT Complete dual high school/college credit courses from an accredited postsecondary institution (6 transferable college credits) Complete a combination of an AP course (2 credits and corresponding exam) and dual high school/college credit course(s) from an accredited postsecondary institution (3 transferable college credits)

What Are The Qualifications To Take Dual Credit Courses? Most dual credit courses have prerequisites – refer to Program of Studies Previous coursework PSAT/SAT/ACT test scores or university entrance exam Cumulative GPA

How Much Do Courses Cost? Tuition costs will vary per course. Refer to the Dual Credit brochure for the most recent information. The majority are $25 per credit hour. Students on free and reduced lunch qualify for fee waivers for most courses. Textbook costs are more expensive because they must be purchased. Project Lead The Way Biomedical courses earn credit by examination. Course fees are paid only if student qualifies. Engineering courses can earn free dual credit through Ivy Tech. Fees will vary at other universities upon full-time enrollment as a college student.
