The Louisiana purchase is the area that Thomas Jefferson bought.

Lewis was born in Albemarle County, Virginia, August 18, 1774 and served in the army and died October 11, Clark was born in Carolina County, Virginia August 1, 1770 and served in the army died September 1, 1838.

Jefferson’s goals for Lewis and Clark are find new land, find new animals, and fide new plants.

Lewis and Clark’s started in Washington D.C., Kentucky, Indiana, Ilinois, Missouri, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and the Pacific Ocean.

 Sacagawea was pregnant with her first child when the Corps of fort Mandan arrived near the Hidatsa villages to spend the winter of 1804–05. Captains Meriwether Lewis and William Clark built fort Mandan. They talked to several trappers who might be able to interpret or guide the expedition up the Missouri river in the springtime. They agreed to hire Charbonneau as an interpreter when they discovered his wife spoke, Shosone as they knew they would need the help of Shoshone tribes at the head water of the Missouri.

 They found Buffalo, Grizzly Bear. plant’s they found are Black Greasewood, Blue Flax.

Lewis bought seaman for $20 in Pittsburgh. Seaman was a great member of the expedition.

 One day Lewis and Clark where walking down the Missouri river and they got chased by a grizzly bear. (As shown bellow.)

 Fort Clastop was built in Clastop, County Oregon USA. And was built in 1805.
