The Aeneid Latin epic poem Written by Virgil The story of Aeneas and his followers on their journey to settle

Departing from Troy Aeneas Departed from Troy when the Greeks Began burning the place down Among him were his son, his father, his trumpeter, his healer, his sidekick and a guide

The Journey I Aeneas, having escaped with boats, traveled by sea Along the way they found that many nearby cities were uninhabitable, and were told that they must go to the land of v their forebearers

The Journey II Aeneas attempts to settle in crete, but is struck by a plague 7 years later, Aeneas arrived in Carthage and had an affair with Queen Dido The gods had to order him to keep moving

The Settlement After the gods order him to move on, he eventually settles at the mouth of the tiber river in italy Here, Aeneas negotiates with the local king and marries his daughter Lavinia, Aeneas and Lavinia have a daughter named Rhea Silvia
