Early Life Edison was not a good student.He never wanted to go to school. He was smart. He got sick a lot like fever and flu. He barely spoke in class. Day after day he played with poison, chemicals, and explosives. Edison had a laboratory. He had 5 poison bottles. Edison was part deaf. He had a job at 12. one day Edison dropped chemicals and stared a little fire. Edison save someone life.

Adult life Edison’s first invention was the Telegraph. He was only 16. He used wires. He had to stay up all night working. By 1868 Edison was living in Boston. He invented a vote typer. In, 1869 he was in New York. He got paid 40,000 dollars just for fixing the Telegraph and it was bigger and better. Edison got married twice. The first one he married was Mary Stelwell. They got married on Christmas day. She had three children. There names were Marion, Thomas. Jr, and William. Then he made the light bulb. The best filament was cotton thead.

Major Accomplishments One of his major accomplishments is the light bulb. Another is the phonograph He made motion pictures.
