 Born: March 30, 1674  Trained lawyer but inherited family farm  One of the more wealthier farmers  Disliked sloppy/ messy working habits  Thought throwing big handfuls of seed was wasteful  Invented the seed drill which was a horse drawn machine that planted seeds one at a time
