Population Approximately 725,000 to 1,020,000 bobcats remain in the wild.

Range Bobcats were once found throughout most of North America. From northern Mexico to southern Canada.

Behavior Usually solitary and territorial animals, females never share. Male territories, however, tend to overlap. generally square miles for males and about five square miles for females.

Threats In Mexico, bobcats are persecuted as sheep predators and are frequently killed by farmers.
