On this day in 1860, the first Pony Express mail, traveling by horse and rider relay teams, simultaneously leaves St. Joseph, Missouri, and Sacramento, California. Although ultimately short-lived and unprofitable, the Pony Express captivated America's imagination and helped win federal aid for a more economical overland postal system. First job out of college was at Haltom Middle School. I worked there for 4 years Transferred to North Ridge Middle School when it opened in This is my third year at Richland High School. I coached for 26 years and have given up my whistle!! Year #29 in Education!
