What we know!  Undescended testes are a risk factor for testicular cancer and reduced fertility.  Latest scientific evidence suggest that the earlier you correct them the better.

Audit standards Consensus statement on undescended testes (UDT)   Timing of surgery: 3-6 months of age now ideal 6-12 months of age is acceptable

What we don’t know!  How early are we performing surgery for undescended testis following the latest BAPU guidance?  What are the early post-operative outcomes?

Aims  To document age at referral and age at surgery  To establish testicular atrophy rate after unilateral orchidopexy for palpable testis  Follow-up for at least 6 months post-op

Study details  Prospective audit over 3 months for operative data  Secure online data entry  As many centres as possible including international participation
