The price for this activity will depend on the number of members attending but will range from £4.50- £6.00. An information letter with consent form will be issued nearer to the time. On Friday 26 th October we will be having a Halloween Party. Everyone is welcome to dress up (teenage volunteers and parent helpers too!) and there will be a prize for the best Halloween costume. There will be spooky Halloween decorations, creepy music and fun games like apple bobbing, swinging doughnuts, mummy wrap, bobbing for worms and Ghoulish Guess What. As stated in our letter sent out in the first 2 weeks, we are planning a trip to The Anvil Theatre in Basingstoke on Saturday 15th December to see the 6pm performance of their Christmas pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. If you have not yet expressed an interest to go and would like to, please ask a leader for an information letter & consent form. We need a signed consent form and payment of £14.00 by Friday 5 th October. Having polled as many of you as possible during the first 2 weeks on what trip, art & craft, food activity and workshop you would like to do this term, the most popular activities were: Laser Tag T-shirt Design Contest Chocolate Fondue Basketball workshop

Parent Helper Rota A parent helper form for this term is attached. If you feel you could volunteer once a term (or even more!), please return the attached sheet or send an to Lindsay Graham (Year 7 Base Team Leader) at indicating both how often you would like to help and your We will then organise the parent helper rota and let you know which night(s) we would like you to come. We also plan to remind you either by or phone the week before. All new parent helpers will be taken around by a leader on their first evening and introduced to everyone, shown where everything is and what we do and how we do it. If you have not yet helped out at The Base, we urge you to try and do so. As well as being a great way to get involved in your local community and support young people, it can also be great fun! Valuables Please do not let your child bring valuable items to youth club as we cannot be responsible for their damage or loss. Remember the youth centre is used by many people during the course of the week and items left behind may not be there the next time they come. Mobile Phones May we remind you that the use of mobile phones and personal electronic devices by members is not permitted at any time during the session. In an emergency your child will be able to use the centre’s phone and vice versa (Tel: ). Walking Home Alone A letter regarding the arrangements for collection of children at the end of youth club is attached. Please could those parents who wish their child to walk home alone inform the youth centre in writing. Summer Term 2012 Chinese New Year Masks Horseshoe Lake Raft Building Winning Team We have a suggestions box located by the tuck shop so let us know your ideas for improving the youth club (e.g. new snacks, drinks or sweets you would like us to sell in the tuck shop or an activity you would like to do).
