Work Exp 2012 Some preliminary information

Work experience A few dos and don’ts! 0 Don’ts 0 Don’t cold call places – we have done that!! Only contact places you have a link with and even then you will need to check that it is not on the school data base – if it is you may not get it!!

0 Don’t 0 Don’t leave finding an own placement to the last minute – THERE IS A DEADLINE. All own placement forms need to be to School Office by 30 th March without fail or exception

0 Don’t 0 Don’t contact your old primary school – we have contacted most and have those that are happy to have someone on our data base. Check with Francesca if yours is on the list.

0 Do 0 Do start asking family and close friends if they are able to take you for work experience week 2 nd -6 th July 2012.

0 Do 0 Do fill in the own placement form (available from School Office) if you are arranging your own placement – this is the only way to guarantee getting what you want.

0 Do 0 Do start to think what areas you could work in but be prepared to make compromises.

0 Do 0 Do bring your medical form back in ASAP to your PSHE teacher
