Aims for today include To be clear about how an evidence base can hep meet the challenge on cost and quality improvement To agree the focus of the evidence base To understand how those in the room can help contribute to the evidence base To agree the role and approach of the advisory group To engage stakeholders as advocates of the evidence base using our influence to encourage awareness and use

Agenda 14.00Welcome and introductions Setting the Scene - the case for an evidence base Developing a clear understanding of what we mean by an evidence base, the rationale for developing this, how it will inform our drive for cost and quality improvements Agreeing the Scope of the Evidence Base Building agreement and understanding around what the evidence base needs to achieve, what information we are seeking and how we can achieve this Using evidence to meet the quality and productivity challenge 16.00How can we best work together to take this forward?
