Five ways leaders create vision Learn to enlist, and involve others in the vision Show passion, and demand it in others Set the bar high Set the stage Communicate values

Five ethical questions for leaders What would my mother say about this? What if this was my personal money? Is this how I would want to be treated? Would I want what I am doing widely known? Am I going to keep this promise?

Six core questions for a leader What is our purpose? What are our driving forces? What are our core values? What do we do best? What do we want to achieve? What do we need to change?

Nine ways leaders create change Have vision, not just reactions Care more about achievement than status Show they are committed not detached Are communicators not introverts Are politically sensitive, not politically ignorant Take responsibility rather than pass it Are adaptable not inflexible Are developing and learning not declining

Nine ways leaders transform organisations Establish a strong sense of urgency Pick a good team Create an enterprise vision Remove obstacles Achieve short term wins Consolidate progress and keep on changing Anchor change to the culture Make the change stick
