Adressing the issues… 1. Each lesson study teacher in the trio focusses on 3 -4 PP6 /underachieving pupils in the focus Engage in lesson study research lessons to: Find out what their barriers to learning are Develop new teaching strategies and resources to break down the barriers and enable them to make accelerated progress.

Improve Project delivery What would improve the planning and delivery of lesson study? E.g. time is needed and when, focus and quality of discussion? What would improve the evaluation process?

Improve knowledge mobilisation How can we share what we are learning, teacher subject knowledge, new teaching strategies and resources?

Starlesson Star Lesson: (Capturing, Tagging, Clip Creation) 1. Capturing video footage of your trio¹s lessons. 2. Tagging the trio¹s lesson videos in accordance with intended lesson outcomes. 3. Creating clip banks and/or lesson highlight videos from the captured footage. Lesson Gems:(Storage, Collaboration, Evidence) 1. Where the key clips from captured Star Lesson videos are stored. 2. These key clips can be collaborated around regardless of geographical location. 3. The resulting video blogs will provide evidence of project effectiveness.

Headteachers say: Quality of peer discussion and focus on specifics of individual students’ learning is a key change to the professional learning culture (fits in well with new Ofsted focus on learning too)
