Main title Subtitle Corporate donations to UK charities are estimated at around £1.6 billion pa Top 300 UK-listed companies gave £2.6billion to support worldwide development Cash donations account for 67% of the top companies’ community support portfolios in the UK Just 4-5% of voluntary income is annually provided by companies, and in 2007/08, 99% of total community contributions were made by the top 300 companies Corporate donations to UK charities fell by 4.3 per cent in real terms (2008/09) many companies are now choosing to give Gifts in Kind as an alternative method of continuing CSR commitments. Other terms : corporate philanthropy, corporate social performance CCI: used by the voluntary sector to describe the contributions (cash and in-kind) they receive from companies. The more measurable part of CSR. Impact measurement and reporting are becoming more important; 53% of charities have already experienced increased demand from stakeholders to demonstrate their performance (Hodge,K. Dec 2011).
