Literacy - Teacher come in as Mr Bear and the children could ask question on how he felt not being able to sleep and why you should always go to bed early. Children could go on to write a paragraph on what they do when they go to bed to help them sleep. Maths - Guessing what's behind the coloured shape from the sound effect. Children could record the sound affects and their partners guess what the sound is. Maths - What's the time Mr bear? Teaching children to tell the time and making it into a game. Geography - Taking Mr bear around the world on holiday with the children and the teachers and tracking him to see what he gets up to Take pictures from throughout the story and getting the children to sequence them in the order of the story Art - they could make masks of the characters. Science - They could look at materials, what materials would make a comfy bed, they could do junk modelling and see who can make the comfiest bed. History – When did you go to bed last night? What did you do before you went to bed? Were you read a story? Did you watch TV?

How to make a bear mask! 1.Take your Template and cut it out. 2.Colour in your mask in bear colours. 3.Poke through the black spots 4.Thread through elastic and tie so it holds your mask to your head. 5.ENJOY! This is introducing children into instructions, it includes Art because they can make the mask and also Literacy because they could learn how to write instructions.
